The Legend of Sealed Book is a classic original animated feature produced by Shanghai Animation Film Studio, released in 1983 and adapted from the ancient Chinese legend novel Ping Yao Zhuan (Biography of the Demon Queller). Drawing heavily from Chinese landscape painting, sculpture, traditional opera, classical gardens and folk music, this animation integrates national culture and folk imagery and is regarded as an outstanding representative work of Chinese classic animation.
Centered on the main character Dansheng, the five stamps present key episodes of the story, with well‑designed fluorescent special effects. Images are sharp with rich saturated colours.
(5‑1) Carving the Heavenly Book at Yunmeng: Lord Yuan secretly descends to the mortal world to carve the precious Heavenly Book onto stone cliffs at Yunmeng Mountain for the benefit of humanity. Dynamic posture conveys powerful momentum. Fluorescent ink highlights carved inscriptions on the rock wall adding mysterious atmosphere.
(5‑2) Dansheng Takes His Master’s Teachings: Lord Yuan imparts magic arts to Dansheng. Dansheng’s flying pose forms the visual focal point. Birds surrounding him appear under UV‑light as foreshadowing for the locust‑suppression plot.
(5‑3) Clever Use of the Magic Treasure Bowl: Dansheng uses the treasure bowl to conjure seven identical old men to tease the county magistrate. Reconstructs the magistrate’s yamen scene. Fluorescent effect penetrates the bowl revealing figures inside, creating absurd humour.
(5‑4) Great Battle Against Fox Spirits: Climax scene: Dansheng fights wits and strength against three fox demons. Fluorescent‑printed water curtains and flames recreate the fierce combat with strong visual impact.
(5‑5) The Heavenly Book Passed Down Forever: The ending sequence: Dansheng keeps the Heavenly Book firmly in mind following Lord Yuan’s instructions, bringing its wisdom to mortal men to rid the world of evil and benefit ordinary people. White and red fluorescent ink outlines Lord Yuan in the background, symbolising inheritance‑protection‑promotion of wisdom.

《天书奇谭》是上海美术电影制片厂出品的经典原创动画长片，诞生于1983年，改编自中国古代传奇小说《平妖传》。作品大量借鉴中华传统文化中山水画、雕塑、戏曲、古典园林、民族音乐等艺术元素，民族文化与民俗意象相辅相成，是国产经典动画的集大成之作。
本套邮票以主角蛋生为主线，五枚邮票选取故事经典场景，结合动画特色设计荧光特效，画面清晰、色彩饱和。
（5‑1）凿书云梦：袁公为造福人间私自下凡，将天庭天书镌刻在云梦山石壁，人物姿态气势磅礴。荧光显现岩壁上天书铭文，增添神秘氛围。
（5‑2）蛋生拜师：袁公授艺，蛋生修习法术凌空飞起。紫外光下显现周身飞鸟，为后续治蝗情节埋下伏笔。
（5‑3）巧用宝盆：蛋生施展法术，聚宝盆变出七位老翁戏耍县令。荧光穿透盆体，显现盆内人物，充满诙谐幽默。
（5‑4）大战狐妖：动画高潮，蛋生与三只狐妖斗智斗勇。荧光表现水幕、火焰，还原激烈打斗场面，视觉冲击力强。
