Most people said that the Qin cavity is the originator of the Chinese opera Zi cavity, which is generally believed to have been formed on the basis of folk songs in Shaanxi, Gansu and Shanxi before the middle of the Ming and Qing dynasties. The tone is agitated and the higher the pitch, with the jujube wood as the percussion instrument, the singing lyrics are basically seven-character sentences, and the music is the plate cavity. In the late Ming and early Qing dynasties, it spread throughout the north and south, and had different degrees of influence on many kinds of Zizi opera. There are more than 2,700 existing traditional plays in Qin Cavity, mainly historical story dramas, and there are mythological dramas, folk story dramas, social custom dramas, etc., with a wide range of themes and rich content, and the traditional plays “Orphans of Zhao”, “Flame Foal”, “Three Drops of Blood” and so on have a wide influence. In May 2006, Qin Cavity was included in the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage list.

The set of stamps was designed by Lu Jieyuan and Guo Xianlu. Lu Jieyuan is a lecturer at the School of Chinese Painting at xi’an Academy of Fine Arts. Guo Xianlu, professor and former dean of Xi’an Academy of Fine Arts, director of the China Artists Association, has <在延安文艺座谈会上的讲话>designed special stamps such as “The 70th Anniversary of Publication” and “Xi’an City Wall”.

The set of stamps selects the wonderful fragments of the three classic traditional qin opera repertoire of “Flame Foal”, “Three Drops of Blood” and “You West Lake”, respectively, showing the typical opera characters such as copper hammer flower face, Wenwu Xiaosheng, Harlequin, Lao Sheng, Xiaosheng, Xiao Dan, etc. The original painting is colored on silk, using the traditional Chinese brush stroke method, using rough lines and strong colors to echo the unique artistic style of Qin Cavity, and at the same time combines the light and elegant background, sets off the heavy colorful opera characters in the foreground, and adds to the ancient style and elegance of the picture.

P.S.秦腔是中国戏曲梆子腔之鼻祖，一般认为明清中叶以前在陕西、甘肃、山西一带的民歌基础上形成。音调激越高亢，以枣木梆子为击节乐器，唱词基本上为七字句，音乐为板腔体。明末清初流传南北各地，对许多梆子腔戏曲剧种都有不同程度的影响。秦腔现存传统剧目2700余个，以历史故事戏为主，同时有神话戏、民间故事戏、社会风情戏等，题材广泛，内容丰富，传统剧目《赵氏孤儿》《火焰驹》《三滴血》等影响较广。2006年5月，秦腔被列入第一批国家级非物质文化遗产名录。

该套邮票由录洁囡、郭线庐设计。录洁囡，西安美术学院中国画学院讲师。郭线庐，西安美术学院教授、原院长，中国美术家协会理事，曾设计《<在延安文艺座谈会上的讲话>发表七十周年》《西安城墙》等纪特邮票。

该套邮票选取了《火焰驹》《三滴血》《游西湖》3部秦腔经典传统剧目的精彩片段，分别表现了铜锤花脸、文武小生、丑角、老生、小生、小旦等典型戏曲人物形象，原画为绢本设色，采用中国传统工笔画法，运用粗犷的线条、浓烈的色彩，以呼应秦腔独特的艺术风格，同时结合淡雅的背景，烘托前景重彩戏曲人物，增添了画面的古风雅韵。
