P.S. Zhang Ji, character Zhongjing, c. 150-c. 219 AD, a native of Nanyang, was a filial piety during the reign of Emperor Ling of Han and an official to Changsha Taishou. Zhang Zhongjing’s “On Typhoid Miscellaneous Diseases” solved theory, law, prescription and medicine as a furnace, opened up a precedent for dialectical treatment, laid the foundation for the development of traditional Chinese medicine, and was respected by later generations as “medical saint”. Traditional Chinese medicine contains thousands of years of health preservation concepts and practical experience of the Chinese nation, and is the great creation of the Chinese nation and the treasure of ancient Chinese science.

The first stamp, “Sitting in the Hall to Practice Medicine”, shows Zhang Zhongjing serving as the punctual in Changsha and opening the public hall to treat the people. The second stamp, “Writing a Book and Standing Book”, shows the vivid scene of Zhang Zhongjing compiling “On Typhoid Miscellaneous Diseases” and writing a book to study medicine, and the background uses the “Baiyun Pavilion Collection <伤寒杂病论>Preface” to highlight the theme. The miniature “Zhang Zhongjing Portrait”, the character lines are strong and smooth, and the image portrayal is vivid, shaping Zhang Zhongjing’s Shi Renshu and Ji Cangsheng’s great medical temperament. The background of the picture is lined with the original text of Xiaochai Hu Tangfang, highlighting the extensive and profound Chinese medicine culture.

This set of stamps was designed by Liu Jingui and printed by Henan Post and Telecommunications Technology Co., Ltd. using a multi-color offset printing process. The full set of stamps is soft in color, simple and elegant, and the use of Chinese medicine flavored scent ink makes the light taste of Chinese herbal medicine refreshing when appreciating stamps, making the stamp theme more vivid, reflecting the high degree of integration of the form and content of the stamp.

P.S.张机，字仲景，约公元150年—约公元219年，南阳人，汉灵帝时举孝廉，官至长沙太守。张仲景所著《伤寒杂病论》溶理、法、方、药为一炉，开辨证论治之先河，为中医药发展奠定了基础，被后世尊称为“医圣”。中医药学包含着中华民族几千年的健康养生理念及实践经验，是中华民族的伟大创造和中国古代科学的瑰宝。
邮票第1枚“坐堂行医”，画面表现了张仲景任长沙太守时，开放公堂为百姓治病的场景。邮票第2枚“撰书立著”，画面表现了张仲景编撰《伤寒杂病论》、著书研医的生动场景，背景运用《白云阁藏本<伤寒杂病论>序》，突出主题。小型张“张仲景像”，人物线条挺劲流畅、形象刻画生动，塑造了张仲景施仁术、济苍生的大医气度。画面背景衬以小柴胡汤方原文，凸显博大精深的中医药文化。
该套邮票由刘金贵设计，由河南省邮电科技有限公司采用多色胶印工艺印制。全套邮票色调柔和，古朴典雅，中药味香味油墨的使用，使得欣赏邮票时，淡淡的中草药味沁人心脾，让邮票主题更加鲜活，体现邮票方寸形式与内容的高度融合。
