The 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou were held from September 23 to October 8. This year’s Asian Games has 40 major events, 61 sub-events and 481 sub-events, divided into four categories: competitive, ball, confrontational and aquatic, of which e-sports and breakdancing are officially included in the Hangzhou Asian Games competition for the first time. The emblem of this year’s Asian Games, “Tide Surge”, consists of a fan, Qiantang River, Qiantang tide and waves, a track, an Internet symbol and a sun symbol symbolizing the Olympic Council of Asia. The mascots of this year’s Asian Games “Chen”, “Chen” and “Lianlian” are a group of robots with profound heritage and full of vitality of the times, the combination is called “Jiangnan Yi”, from the famous phrase “Jiangnan Memory, the most remembered is Hangzhou” by the Tang Dynasty poet Bai Juyi, which integrates Hangzhou’s historical humanities, natural ecology and innovation genes.

　　杭州第19届亚洲运动于9月23日至10月8日举行。本届亚运会设有40个大项，61个分项，481个小项，分为竞技性、球类、对抗性和水上四大类的比赛，其中电子竞技和霹雳舞首次正式列入杭州亚运会竞赛项目。本届亚运会会徽“潮涌”由扇面、钱塘江、钱塘潮浪花、赛道、互联网符号及象征亚洲奥林匹克理事会的太阳图形等多个元素组成。本届亚运会吉祥物“宸宸”“琮琮”“莲莲”是一组承载深厚底蕴和充满时代活力的机器人，组合名为“江南忆”，出自唐朝诗人白居易的名句“江南忆，最忆是杭州”，它融合了杭州的历史人文、自然生态和创新基因。

　　该套邮票采用连票设计形式，2枚邮票分别以杭州第19届亚洲运动会会徽、吉祥物为画面主体，画面下方为杭州亚运会核心图形与色彩系统，凝中国色彩文化和杭州特质于一体，画面简约明快、主题突出。
