远东及南太平洋地区残疾人体育运动联合成立于 1975年。总部设在日本，有30个成员国。
该组织主要举办的比赛就是远东及南太平洋地区残疾人运动会，其目的是通过比赛提高残疾人的社会地位和福利。至今已举办过五届。
1994年9月在北京举行第六届远南运动会。该邮票图案为运动会徽。
