China’s 10th National Games was held in Jiangsu Province from October 12 to 23, 2005. The 10th National Games is considered the “Big Exercise” for the Beijng 2008 Olympic Games. Altogether 9,922 athletes-the biggest of all national games-competed in the 32 big events and 357 small events. This grand assembly reviewed the competitive standard of China’s athletes, and displayed their high spirits.
