Beidaihe is located in the southeast of Qinhuangdao city, Hebei province, with the Penglai Mountain to the north and the Bohai Sea to the south. Beidaihe features green hills, blue seawater , a winding coastline , and soft sandy beaches. With a mild temperature all year round, it has long been a famous seaside summer resort. Along the ten-kilometre long coastline from the mouth of the Daihe River to the Yingjiao Pavilion is a beautiful scenic area. Buildings of various styles and cultural relics hidden in the pretty hills grown with green trees, and stones washed by the waves into many strange shapes are unique attractions of Beidaihe . Emperors since ancient times and men of letter have left many literary works in praise of trhe beauty of Beidaihe.
