Longmen Grottoes is located in the western suburb of Luoyang, Henan province. The statues in Grottoes were first initiated from AD193 when Emperor Xiao Wen moved his capital to Luoyang. The typical ones are those well preserved in China such as Gu Yang grottoes, Bin Yang grottoes and Lotus grottoes in the North Wei Period, and Qian Xi Temple, Wan Fo Temple, Feng Xian Temple and Kan Jing Temple in Tang Dynasty.
