From 12 to 18 October, 1992, the 14th National Congress of Communist Party of China was held in Beijing which more than 2,000 representatives attended. Chairman Jiang Zemin made the report with the title “Fasten the step of Reform, Open up, and Modernization Construction to win more victories of Socialist Career with Chinese characteristics”, which suggested the ten main tasks of reform and construction in 1990s.
