P.S. 全心全意为人民服务的楷模、共产主义战士雷锋，1940年12月18日生于湖南。他刻苦学习，克己奉公，除完成本职工作外，经常助人为乐，积极践行“把有限的生命，投入到无限的为人民服务之中去”的诺言。1962年8月15日，雷锋因公殉职。1963年3月5日，《人民日报》发表毛泽东同志亲笔题词，号召全国人民“向雷锋同志学习”。从此，全国广泛开展了学习雷锋的活动。今年是毛泽东等老一辈革命家为雷锋同志题词60周年。近日，习近平总书记对深入开展学雷锋活动作出重要指示强调，深刻把握雷锋精神的时代内涵，让雷锋精神在新时代绽放更加璀璨的光芒。
第一枚邮票“毛泽东同志题词”，画面表现了毛泽东“向雷锋同志学习”题词，象征雷锋精神代代传承，永不褪色；第二枚邮票“《雷锋》雕塑”表现的青铜雕塑作品《雷锋》由吴为山创作，塑造了雷锋面含微笑走在春风里的一瞬，象征雷锋精神走进新时代，朝气蓬勃，富有活力。
