The Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP), located in the Yangtze River Delta Economic Development Belt, is the largest cooperative project between the governments of China and Singapore. Since it was inaugurated in 1994, the SIP has developed a new form of mutually beneficiary international economic and technology cooperation by adopting Singapore’s experience in accordance to China’s national situation, and by integrating Singapore’s concept of internationalization and the local culture of Suzhou. Its main economic indices have grown at an average annual rate of 40%. As a successful example of friendly international cooperation, the SIP has become one of the important sites of China’s reform and opening-up efforts.

苏州工业园区地处长江三角洲经济发展带，是中国和新加坡两国政府间最大的合作项目，于1994年正式启动。十年来，苏州工业园区结合中国国情，同时借鉴新加坡经验，融新加坡国际化理念和苏州文化底蕴为一体，开创了中外经济技术互利合作的新形式，各项主要经济指标以年均40%的速度迅猛增长，已经成为我国改革开放的重要窗口，是国际友好合作的成功典范。
